Deichman Bjørvika: perchè è la biblioteca pubblica dell’anno?

Abstract

Taking the opportunity of a trip to Oslo last May 2022 on the occasion of the Norwegian National Day, the author visited the Deichman Bjørvika, just as the Conference of the IFLA Metropolitan Libraries Section was in progress at the Library on the occasion of the Midterm meeting of the Commission and to celebrate the award of the best public library of the year. Why the best public library? to answer this question, the characteristics of modern, participatory and inclusive libraries highlighted in Deichman Bjørvika are exemplified.
